China’s Cross-Border e-Commerce Users Reaching 138 Million

On September 29, 2020, China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) released the 46th “Statistical Report on Internet Development in China”.

As of June 2020, the number of cross-border e-commerce users in China has reached 138 million.

China’s short video users reach 818 million

As of June 2020, the number of short video users in China has reached 818 million, accounting for 87.0% of the total Internet users, and the number of users has increased by 5.8% compared to March 2020.

About 87,000 new cross-border e-commerce companies in China this year

As of September 28, 2020, China has added approximately 87,000 cross-border e-commerce related companies this year. There are currently 564,000 e-commerce companies in China, including “cross-border, foreign trade, import and export, and export sales.”

From the perspective of geographical distribution, Guangdong Province ranks first in the number of cross-border e-commerce related companies, about 380,000, accounting for 67.93% of the total number of cross-border e-commerce related companies in the country. From the perspective of industry distribution, 60.23% of cross-border e-commerce related companies are concentrated in wholesale and retail industries. 13.32% of enterprises are concentrated in information transmission, software and information technology service industries.
